Why it's different

Most apps optimise for speed or distance. TrackHound optimises for the opposite — the small, narrow, traffic-free roads that make a ride worth taking.

• Existing apps (OsmAnd, Komoot, Scenic, Google Maps, Gaia) optimise for speed or distance. TrackHound optimises for the opposite: small roads, farm tracks, dirt paths.
• "Farm road" isn't an OSM tag. A Belgian farm road is often perfectly paved — just narrow and nearly traffic-free. "Prefer unpaved" filters miss these because they filter on surface, not road class or traffic. TrackHound's costing model targets the character of the road, not just its surface.
• Compare All draws every routing preset on the map at once, so you pick the ride you want.
• Truly offline & private: download a region once, route on-device in airplane mode; routes and trips stay on the phone. No tracking, no analytics, no ads.
• Rally-style roadbook: glance-readable maneuver arrow, route-alignment compass (green on course, red when you drift), speed-limit-coloured speedo — portrait and landscape.
