GhostPlug End-User License Agreement

Last updated: 2026-10-09. This is the EULA for GhostPlug, a macOS application sold through Gumroad. The seller is Michel Storms; Orchard Outlaws is the name of the store, not a legal entity.

1. License grant

You (“the customer”) are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use GhostPlug on any number of Macs you personally own or use. The license is tied to the license key issued to you on purchase.

2. Trial

GhostPlug can be used free for 7 days from first launch. After that, the resolution you last kept stays in place and is still restored at launch, and you can always go back to the Mac’s own display, but applying a new resolution needs a license key.

3. What GhostPlug does

GhostPlug creates a virtual display on your Mac at a resolution you choose and mirrors the Mac’s own displays onto it, so a Mac without a monitor, or one reached over Screen Sharing, can run at that resolution. Every change waits for you to click Keep and is undone if you do not.

It does this with a display interface that macOS provides but Apple does not document. A macOS update may change or remove it, and GhostPlug may stop working until it is updated, or for good. Compatibility is best-effort, not guaranteed. Check that GhostPlug works on a new macOS version before updating a Mac you can only reach remotely.

4. Prohibited uses

You may not:

5. Third parties

GhostPlug is independent software. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Apple. Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Purchases, receipts, and license keys are handled by Gumroad under Gumroad’s terms.

6. No warranty

GhostPlug is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. Changing a display’s resolution can leave a screen unreadable; the Keep countdown is there to undo that, but it is not guaranteed to do so in every situation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from this agreement or your use of the app, including loss of access to a Mac. The developer’s total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app.

8. Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach its terms, or if your purchase is refunded or charged back. On termination you must stop using the app.

9. Updates

Updates to GhostPlug are included at no additional cost for as long as the app is developed. The app checks for them automatically; you can also choose Check for Updates… in its menu.

10. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes go before the competent courts of the judicial district of West Flanders, Belgium, except where consumer-protection law lets you bring proceedings where you live.
