Why it's different

A handful of cars ship with a built-in pet mode — tied to that one car. PawMode brings the same reassurance to any vehicle, using a spare iPhone you already own.

• No special car, no extra hardware. A spare iPhone becomes the in-car Monitor; the phone in your pocket is the remote dashboard.
• Two phones, paired by QR, synced through your own Apple account. No sign-up, no third-party servers, no Bluetooth pairing dance — they check in every minute, even backgrounded.
• Thermal state + repeating alerts. Color-coded warnings and push notifications the moment conditions cross a threshold, the battery runs low, or the car phone drops offline.
• A reassurance message for passersby — with your contact and a scannable code — that auto-translates to the local language. Fewer broken windows, fewer worried calls.
• Doubles as a deterrent. A visible surveillance overlay (and a stealth mode that blanks the screen while the camera keeps running) helps protect belongings, not just pets.
